Writing One. Fall 1999.
I have only three items from this class that are worth anything.
One is a response to a prompt that was given to us after reading a short story by George Orwell. The story was called "The Prisoner", it is about the taking of a man to the gallows to hang. It is told from the point of view of one of the prisoner's guards. This guard experiences a eipifany while on this short walk. The prompt asks the class to tell of another eipifany that may have been experienced by another character in the story. It could be the guard's Superintendent, the prisoner, or a dog that happens by. I chose the dog.
Two is a response to a prompt asking for a descriptive essay. I chose to talk about my present job in a novel way.
Three is a response to the main essay of the class, a seven to ten page research essay. I wrote mine on the merits of alternative medicine. Can it be mainstreamed, so to speak.
Goodbye for now.
